Education/Workshops

Mission Health Network (MHN) recognizes the ongoing educational needs of our provider community and their practice managers. To help our providers and their  staff stay current on both clinical and practice  management issues, MHN partners with outside organizations to bring  quality educational opportunities to our member community.

The MHN is constantly re-evaluating programs to meet and exceed member needs in the ever changing healthcare environment. Educational programs are offered on a wide range of topics . Additionally, resource materials are provided materials are provided to meet clinical and administrative support needs. The PHO communicates regularly to ensure members are kept abreast of activities and healthcare industry as a whole.

The MHN strives to:

• Facilitate clinical improvement discussions
• Provide practice management forums
• Provide resource materials
• Assist in keeping members informed of industry changes, health insurance polices and procedures, etc.
• Communicate on a regular basis through website, newsletters, mailings.

 

In 2006, we surveyed our member practice managers about their choice of subject matter for the seminar/workshops. Their choices by order of importance are as follows:

• Billing and Coding
• HIPPA & Medical Regulations
• Managed Care, Medicare and CHIPs
• Teamwork in a Physician Practice
• Successfully Marketing Your Practice
